Scalable Infrastructure
Valvix grows with your operation — from a single greenhouse zone to hundreds of locations — without replacing equipment or switching platforms.

The Problem
Many farm automation systems work well at small scale but become unwieldy as operations grow. Adding zones requires new hardware configurations, new software licences, or even platform migrations. The tools that worked for one greenhouse often can't handle ten.
Different systems for different locations don't share data
Software costs scale faster than farm revenue
Platform migrations lose historical data and disrupt operations
How Valvix Solves It
Each new zone adds a Valvix node
A new sensor and controller node is installed in the new zone — it pairs with your existing system automatically.
The dashboard updates to include the new zone immediately
Within minutes, the new zone appears in your dashboard with live data and controls — no configuration required.
Existing automations and alerts extend to the new zone
You apply your standard zone template or create custom settings. Historical baselines are built automatically over the first few weeks.
Multiple locations are managed from one account
Whether you add a second greenhouse next door or a farm in another city, it appears in the same dashboard under your account.
Pricing scales with actual usage
You pay per active node — adding zones increases your subscription proportionally, with no platform migration costs.

Common Questions
Is there a minimum or maximum number of zones?
No minimum — Valvix works for single-zone installations. The practical maximum is currently around 500 zones per account; contact us for larger deployments.
Can zones at different physical locations share a single account?
Yes. Multiple farms, greenhouses, or field locations can all be managed from one Valvix account. Each location appears as a separate group in the dashboard.
What happens to existing data when I add new zones?
Existing zone data is completely unaffected. New zones start collecting data from the moment they go online and build their history from there.
Can I remove zones if I reduce operations?
Yes. Inactive zones can be paused (data retained, subscription paused) or archived (data retained, zone removed from the active dashboard).
How are software updates handled?
Platform updates are deployed automatically to all accounts. Controller firmware updates are applied remotely during low-activity periods — typically at night — without interrupting monitoring.
